Taylor’s story of courage,
hope and faith!

At first glance, Taylor Buonadonna is a normal 16-year-old girl. She’s an excellent student, plays the flute and has lots of friends.

In June 2006, at the tender age of 13, Taylor was diagnosed with a bone cancer called osteosarcoma. Of all childhood cancers, osteosarcoma is the most common bone tumor in children, affecting approximately 400 children every year.

After undergoing high doses of chemotherapy and enduring a “limb salvage” surgery, where the affected bone was removed from her right leg, Taylor had gone into remission for almost two years. But the osteosarcoma had returned. This time it struck her left knee. After a second “limb salvage” surgery and two unsuccessful clinical trials of chemotherapy, the disease had spread into both of her lungs and multiple bone joints.

We, at Running on Love, support Taylor’s valiant fight for her life, and invite you to help us defeat this terrible disease.

Battling Blood Cancers
to Save Lives!

Every 4 minutes one person is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Every 10 minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer.

Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20.

An approximately 140,000 people in the United States were diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2009, and the new cases of leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma accounted for 9.5 percent of all new cancer cases, diagnosed in the United States.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, funding blood cancer research, education and patient services, and improving the quality of life of patients and their families.

We’re running for life, in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s great cause, and need your help. Your generous gift will make a difference!
